Welcome.
Twitter is an extremely popular service. You know it, I know it. There’s no denying how many people are using Twitter these days for social purposes, news purposes or even monetary purposes (don’t ask me, i’ve got no idea how they earn money from twitter), Twitter’s possibilities are just limitless.
Originally introduced as a form of microblogging, Twitter have since evolved into something more different. While the concept of microblogging is indeed still there, it’s becoming more and more of a quick note for some people, or more of a rumour spreading kind of things. Well, that only applies when you follow a huge amount of people.
The increased usage of Twitter have undoubtedly brought a lot of interested parties into it. Figures such as LucasArt’s Darth Vader has his own Twitter page or even Microsoft’s Bill Gates. Lots of important figures using Twitters. More importantly, even Game Studios are picking up Twitter as one of their many platforms to get their information through to the players.
And of course, how can Blizzard, King of MMO, miss out this opportunity? Of course, noticing the amount of players who uses Twitter, Blizzard moves in with an extra feature into the already feature filled game of World of Warcraft — The TweetCraft.
It does exactly what it says. Twitter on World of Warcraft. Now you can waste even more time playing World of Warcraft WHILE twittering. Doesn’t that sound wonderful?
What TweetCraft gives you is some of the features that most Twitter user would want. Automated Twitter is enabled for logging in and out of the game, getting achievements or even being active in an instance or not. Others includes your Twitter uploads for in-game screenshots and stuffs like that.
Apparently, TweetCraft is a program that will require players to run a certain program first before enabling it in the game. And it’s Windows only too. Sorry Mac users, you can’t play WoW while twittering.
There’s even a demo video for this nifty software!
