The second season announcement!

If you’re a fan of the Weiss Survival card game, then this will be a piece of awesome news for you. As you would have known, Weiss Survival had been adapted into an anime before, although each episode was extremely short — lasting only 3 minutes each — and features only 3 characters of it’s own.

Although the anime was mainly used as a way to promote the card game itself, the anime has seen some considerable successes, and this in turn, as brought about the decision to make a second season.

The second season doesn’t just follow the adventures of the first 3 characters that had appeared on the first season, it seems that an additional character would be introduced in the second season, although the character’s identity has yet to be confirmed.

According to the announcement that revealed a second season, it is planned that characters from Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS and Fate/stay night anime series would make an appearance in the anime itself. The card game itself has seen multiple character appearance from different anime/manga series.

A second season of this series would do good for their card game promotion. Maybe it would be even better if they expand it out into a full anime series!
