ACGC 2009 - Day 2
And so, day 2 coverage begins with a bit of Macross. As usual, this post will feature cosplayers.
Fail focus. Again.
Dr. Stein looking cool while sneaking a box of Pocky Rocky here.
These two cosplayers did a couple of yaoi poses, which I missed because of all the other photographers.
I’m sure most of you must have heard from Sankaku Complex by now- Shota Super Saiyan Goku!
BTW- The guy on the right is not his father. That is cosplay judge, Alan.
On day 2, we had the cosplay solo category. In great contrast to day 1’s 3-group competition, day 2 featured 19 contestants.
This is one pose I did not dare to miss. ^^;
Tyki Mik. Judge Alan said he reminded him of Michael Jackson. :S
Judge Alan asking the cosplayers some questions. Quite a number of cosplayers couldn’t really bring out their character. ^^; Maximus from Gladiator did really well though.
Aaaaand he’s back, for more jan-ken-pon.
lolwut you doing Ichigo. You already in bankai.
Using Tsubaki as a guitar.. weapon abuse!
Lei Wu Long ordering some “special fried rice”.
Really special fried rice.
His skit was really entertaining. It was “action-packed” and very humorous. I never played much of Tekken 5 though, so I don’t know how accurate his moves were.
Kiva rapping. Was somewhat lacklustre.
Android 17 VS Goku. If not for Goku, Android 17’s skit would’ve been pretty boring.
Maximus from Gladiator. He was the most in-character cosplayer. His skit was a reenactment of a scene from the movie, which apparently was really accurate. I found it pretty boring though.
Is this some kind of new jutsu? ^^; BREAK COSTUME NO JUTSU!!
Cute ranka cosplayer! \(º ▽ º)/
Kyonko cosplayer! Though her top looked way too big.
Day 2 of ACGC 2009 was entertaining because of the many cosplayers taking part in the competition. But because there were so many cosplayers, the competition dragged on longer than expected.
Oh, and that Malaysian artist NameWee.. Well, he was a music artist lol. All along I had thought he was a drawing artist.

Looks rather small woh this event compared to the Comic Fiesta, nontheless… anyhow better than ‘that’ event then… -_-

Compared to CF, yeah, this event is smaller. But CF has got to be the biggest otaku event in Malaysia right now (as far as I know, anyway), so I guess it’s not too bad.

Oooh, I like that Suigintou’s costume; looks quite detailed. And is that the Misa cosplayer we saw at CF? I think she is, judging from her wig, heh.
Good work on the photos, they aren’t bad, actually. ^_^
