DaiCon - Celebrating the radish since 2009

Long journey, drama, and overall averageness- that would be DaiCon. Unlike my previous convention posts, I will not be splitting it into day 1 and day 2. I will, however, be doing a separate post for my Minorin experience.

Proposal Daisakusen (Operation Love)

Author: Chong Mizunaga
07 6th, 2008

His name is Iwase Ken.

A pathetic groomsman who appeared in the wedding hall. I have seen hundreds of wedding ceremonies throughout the years, but this was the first time I’ve ever seen someone who held so much regret towards the bride.

Throughout the history of man, self-regret and giving up have been removed.

The man who, because they were childhood friends, had never been able to convey his true feelings for her, wanted so badly to redo the past while watching a slide show.

I, who could not just sit down and watch, allowed him to go back to the time of the pictures. I am, of course, the fairy who living in this church.

Ask, and it shall be given to you.

I wonder, will this man ever be able to find happiness?

Proposal Daisakusen is a touching love story of Yoshida Rei and Iwase Ken. Even though his childhood friend, Rei, was going to be happily married to Tada Tetsuya, Ken truly wished that he was the one beside her instead. As he was watching a slide show of Rei’s past, he had a deep desire to go back and fix the things he did to make Rei unhappy.

Suddenly, a fairy appears and gives him the opportunity to do so- a “Hallelujah Chance”. Ken, now given a chance to fix all the mistakes of his past, decides to try and win back Rei’s heart, one slide at a time.

Well, I began watching this J-drama after catching an episode on local television. And I can gladly say that I don’t regret picking this up. At some points, I could relate to Ken, and that made me cry a bit. ^^;

I won’t say much more - go watch it here. (The SP is the special, so don’t watch that first)

I have to ask though.. since Ken went back and changed all of Rei’s upset expressions into smiles, does that mean Mikio intended to show a slide show full of upset Rei?

BTW- no hentai / ecchi stuff in this series.
