If you have not already heard the news, Evangelion 2.0 - You Can (Not) Advance is going to be screened here in Malaysia! \o/

It’ll be screening from 11th March, at the Cathay Cineplex in Damansara (and if you don’t know where that is, perhaps “Cineleisure” or “the Curve” may ring a bell?).

Apart from thanking Cathay, we have to thank the local anime fan scene. If you did not know, Eva 2.0 might have never made it to screens here. However, with a petition run by local Anime Shrine, and with the collective efforts of all the fans, Cathay Cineplex agreed (and happily too) to bring in Eva 2.0 for everyone.

Admittedly and unfortunately, I was not able to be a part of that petition. Why? Simply because I was absent from the scene at the time, and by the time I checked back last year, everything was already over. I missed the whole petition, dammit. :\ Oh well.

Anyway, I am looking forward to the movie. To you fine gentlemen and ladies who helped bring this movie to us, I give you a heartfelt thanks, and a round of applause.

I just watched the Clone Wars movie today.

Well, I finally went to watch Evangelion 1.0 yesterday.. ^^;

It came to cinemas on 3rd July, but I kept putting off booking tickets until 21st July. ^^; It’s a good thing I didn’t delay any further, as I found out then that Wednesday (today) is the last day of screening and it was *fully booked*

Tuesday, on the other hand, was only half-booked. ^^; Because of that, managed to watch the movie in peace (except for a noisy couple who sat behind me).

Well, Evangelion 1.0 was a good movie. I’m no Evangelion fan, but I do not regret going to the cinemas for this show- a good sound system is a must have with this movie! The only sad points- they cut out a part of the Rei apartment scene, and another when Rei was changing into her plugsuit. :\

If you have not watched this movie yet, then you must go and do so! (via *cough* torrents *cough*)

BTW- I heard there is supposed to be a trailer for Evangelion 2.0 at the end of the credits. Not sure if it was cut from our Malaysian cinemas or not. Couldn’t sit to finish the credits, since my friend wanted to go off.

I am a big fan of yours. Even though you tend to wreck buildings, destroy roads, and cause lots of trouble to the public, I still think you’re a great guy.

If possible, I hope you could send this letter back with an autograph.

P.S. If you were wondering, this letter is made of scrap metal from that highway you crashed into yesterday.

Well, the movie turned out to be a little unexpected. From watching the trailer alone, I had expected a 90-minute movie of Hancock trying to overcome his PR problems. What we got, however, was a comedy which transited to a more serious tone midway.

I thought it was a good movie, but feel there was just a tad bit lack of character development.

Overall, Hancock is an entertaining watch, and I don’t regret going to the cinemas for it.
