Funny Signs in Malaysia
Author: Chong Mizunaga
Not sure if this should be considered Engrish or not..

This blockade says, “TIADA BOLEH PAKING”
Literal translations:
Tiada = don’t have
boleh = can
paking = paking? ^^;
The proper way to say it would be, “Tak boleh letak kereta di sini” which translates into “(You) Can’t park your car here”
Below that, the person who wrote “NO-PAKING” seemed a little uncertain if he should put an R or a K ^^;
You get funny signs like this in your region too?

Picture taken at a food court in SS2. It was on all the pillars at the food court.
I wonder if they put up these signs to discourage beggars, or to protect people from being scammed by professional beggars…
HELL Gravure

Suddenly, Hell doesn’t seem so bad anymore.
BTW- if you don’t get it, I’m not referring to this gravure, but to this gravure.
Sign of Racism

Found this sign to be really racist ^^;
While I think I can understand the want for the current Chinese employees to have more Chinese co-workers, this might be going a bit too far.
This sign can be seen at the Converse store in the new wing of One Utama.
What do you think of this sign? Deserved to be torn down? Leave it alone?
Dumping Cigarettes

As funny/strange as it is, I think it carries a rather significant meaning. Think about the caption for a bit.
Malaysian Politics

This is old news but..
Just heard today that there was a billboard of Loh Seng Kok along the LDP highway.. That got painted on.

I find it.. pretty amusing that people would do such a thing. I don’t know much about politics, so I’m not sure why people would want to do this.
But the thing that’s even MORE amusing, is how it got painted in the first place ^^;
As you can see from the above picture, there’s no nearby structural support.
How do you think they did it? ^^;
More of this event at The Star.
And someone else also points out that it’s hard perform this feat without a crane.
Incidentally, I was wondering..
Are you a responsible citizen in voting?
Valentines Day Proposal
Author: Chong Mizunaga

Saw some news today. Apparently, this (probably) crazy guy spent RM 54,000 on a proposal.
RM 54,000!!!
You can buy about 360 figures with that kind of money!
So, what could possibly cost that much cash?
The nutty fella rented a billboard for RM 40,000 and it’s gonna be up there for a month. He then spent RM 14,000 to buy a diamond ring for her.
I think he should’ve just taken her overseas and enjoyed something while he surprised her with something extravagant, but to do this is just…
..and who the heck is Kelly Tan E Li?
